Links for YOU, pt 3: Catholic High School Girls In Trouble!

St. Mary's Catholic High School can't seem to find a way to enforce rules about skirt length. Faced with more bare thighs than they'd like and growing complaints from the community, they've banned knee-socks in favor of full-length tights.

Students are protesting the new restrictions by wearing the traditional knee-socks and complaining a lot.

"A lot of girls have their kilts shorter (than allowed) and they wear shorts underneath," Jalsevac said. "But there's a handful of girls who have decided the new thing is to not do that. And they've ruined it for everyone."

Both Gallo and his students blame a small clique of Grade 9 and 10 girls who are wearing thong underwear under their kilts.

Those evil sluts! This one is for a few people in particular, but I bet they know who they are, so I'll spare them actually posting their names with the link.

Shorter kilts with no shorts underneath! Nothing could be finer.

Sigh. Dan Dan Dan. Not to harsh anyone's sordid little prefab fantasy but we're talking about 14 to 15 year old girls here -- I was 13 in 9th grade personally. Age of consent, guys. If I were convinced that the turn-on were actually adult women dressed up as schoolgirls, I wouldn't be so concerned -- but somehow I'm not getting the feeling that that's what's going on. Two words, anonymous lusers: statutory rape.

Not if you're under 18, Troutgirl...

Heh. OK, fair enough -- although it would surprise me if Dan's audience were in that age bracket. Good on ya for not posting anonymously! ;-)

Sigh. So many ways to respond to all of this.

First, Jason, Troutgirl is right. In many states, it is statutory rape even if both people are under 18. And most of the audience of this site is over 18. On the other hand, in some states, the age of consent is below 18. That's all neither here nor there for this discussion, however.

Second, many seniors in high school are 18 or 19. I was never one of them, but I knew lots of them. Also, keep in mind that in the movies and television, high school girls are often played by actresses in their twenties, giving many people (a.k.a. "anonymous lusers") a distorted view of what a high school girl looks like.

I just think it's funny that this made news, and I knew the headline would get some people's attention. Most shocking part is that there were 50 complaints from community members about it

"It's embarrassing, with girls bending over and people having to look at their underwear."

Dude, I say that ALL the time. Shameful!

Hey, you didn't have to call me "anonymous luser."

Posted by: shoepedaphiliac at April 17, 2002 01:54 AM

wow you guys are fuckin idiots...
age of consent is 14 and if the girls are in grade 9 and 10 then they're either 14 or 15 which means they can get fucked all they want...

do some research next time before you post shit like that

Not sure why we're talking about a post that's two years old and has a broken link, but since an anonymous friend dropped by...

age of consent is 14 and if the girls are in grade 9 and 10 then they're either 14 or 15 which means they can get fucked all they want...

Actually, you're quite wrong, and a simple Google search would have made that abundantly clear. Please "do some research next time" yourself before posting or calling other people idiots.

The age of consent varies from state to state in America. It's a very small handful of states where the age is 14, and most of those have other restrictions. Here's a list of each state's age of consent.

All of this is somewhat besides the point. The reference to the age of consent was a reminder to others here that there are significant social, moral, and legal concerns related to this issue.
